Craft Integration

In the intermediate CRAFT INTEGRATION CLASS we move from the basics of CORE TOOLS into seamless integration of craft so that artistic expression is heightened. By isolating individual tools utilized by the actor such as what a choice is and how to make it, and having them become second nature, the artist learns how to create characters and bring them to life. These tools allow an actor to experience their personal connection to text and character; the very vehicle for turning impulse into choice.

Areas of emphasis include:

  • Outward directed focus
  • Analyzing script for circumstances
  • Single task focus
  • Creating character drive
  • Working with silence
  • Taking committed action
  • Learning to accept all impulses
