This acting for television and film workshop is a process-focused intensive designed to give actors a thorough experience of how to integrate actor and character into one being so that there is no separation that an audience would perceive as “pretending.”  Because the camera can pick up even the slightest hint of separation in an actor’s performance, it is even more vital when involved in that medium to be an integrated performer.  The difference is performance that is living and authentic rather than presentational.  A key element of this workshop will be learning to transform the energy and conversations we use to hold us back into creation expression, creating truly authentic characters along the way. Steven facilitates the participants ability to achieve this during his on-your-feet, experiential workshop through a series of games, exercises, and Actorswork signature tools like “time bombs” and “let it be trues,” all revolving around the exploration of the original scenes that are written specifically for the participants.  At the end of the workshop this culminates in performances of each scene.

THE FULL COST OF THIS WORKSHOP IS $395.00. A non-refundable deposit of $195.00 is required to reserve your space. You will have the option to pay by check/money order or credit card. Any remainder on the balance will be due at the beginning of the workshop.
